Called To Repent
This Sunday we will study Romans 1: 18-32
This passage of scripture tells us that God is angry at sin. Why would God, our loving Heavenly Father, be angry at sin? Because sin separates us from him.
He calls us to repent or turn from our sin so we can have a living relationship with Him. True life begins the moment we put our faith in His Son Jesus and will continue throughout eternity as eternal life. Sin, however cuts us off from the life that only God can give us. In Christ our sins are forgiven and we are made new.
Join me in prayer for this weekends services. Reach out and invite someone to come to church with you.

Called Through The Gospel
This past Sunday we studied that we are “Called to Belong” from Romans 1: 1-7. Paul said in Romans 1:16 “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes….”
In light of all that Jesus had done for Paul, he wanted to tell others about Him.
Paul wanted others to know the salvation, forgiveness, freedom and joy that only Jesus can give. What about you? Who would Jesus want you to reach out to this week to help them know Christ in a living way? I encourage you to pray for them, send them a card or a text and then meet them in person.
Ask them to come with you to church this week. Or, offer to pick them up and bring them with you.
Because we are “Called Through the Gospel” (Romans 1:8 - 17), let’s pray for opportunities to help others know Him.

Called To Belong
We all need a healthy sense of belonging. The fact is, we all need to belong.
The Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 1:6 that we are "called to belong to Jesus."
If we do not find our belonging in Christ and His family we will look for belonging in the wrong places or people. This Sunday we will study Romans 1:1-7 where we find that "we belong to Christ."
Pray about who you can invite and bring to worship with you this Sunday. We want to help as many as possible to know that they have a real belonging in Christ.

Jesus Took Our Place
Evangelist Billy Sunday told a story about a young Confederate soldier in the Civil war that was sentenced to die. A short time before his execution an older soldier stepped up and said, "I have lived most of my life but this young man has most of his life yet before him. Let me take his place." His request was granted and the young man lived because someone took his place.
God loves us so much that he sent his son Jesus to take our place.
Romans 5:8 says “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
This Sunday is the Sunday before Valentine’s Day. We will study God’s incredible love and how to share this good news with others.
Join me in prayer for this weekend’s services and bring someone with you to receive God’s love.
