Happy New Year!

God likes new things. In Isaiah 43:19 the Lord told his people that He was going to do something new. Verse 19 reads "For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." God had brought His people out of Egypt and performed many mighty miracles. But He was going to do something even greater…something New.

The Lord has blessed us with a New Year. Lord give us eyes to see the New things that you are doing and want to do in our individual lives, our families, our church, community and the world.

The Bible says He will give us a new heart, make us a new creation and give us a new song to sing.

It is an honor to serve as your Pastor.

I look forward to the New Things the Lord is going to do this year for His glory and our blessing.

Looking To The New Year

I trust that you had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you are making some time to rest between Christmas and New Years Day. The week between the Holidays is a good time to reflect on God’s blessings in the past year. It is also a time to look with anticipation on the New Year ahead.

Matthew 2:9 says “…And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was.” The Wise Men followed the star to find Christ. Then afterward they took a new direction. Let’s be like those Wise Men and follow Christ into and throughout the New Year.

This Sunday we will meet for one worship service at 10:00 AM.

Thank you for your faithfulness over the past year. It is an honor to serve as your Pastor.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Peace is a Person

This Sunday is the fourth Sunday of Advent on which we will light the candle of Peace.

We often seek for peace in a place of quiet, rest, calm or devoid of conflict. Peace can be those things but in a greater sense Peace is a Person…Jesus. The scriptures tell us that Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Only Christ can bring lasting peace to our mind, soul, and planet. In Luke 2:14 the angel announced “Peace and Goodwill to all men” on the birth of Christ. This Sunday we will study how to have His peace in
our life.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday.

It is an honor to serve as your Pastor.
