Memorial Day Weekend

"There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends," John 15:13.

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. A memorial is given to help us remember someone or something that someone did. This weekend we will remember the sacrifice that many have made for the freedom of our country. We also remember the sacrifice that our Lord made on our behalf. 1 Corinthians 11:23 says "...this is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me." We will serve communion this Sunday.

Join me in prayer for this weekend's services. Also, invite someone to come and worship with us.

Where do you place your faith?

What is the object of your faith? As I write this devotion I am sitting in a very nice office chair that a friend gave me. I trust the chair to hold me so, I can rest as I write. You could say I have faith in my chair.

When it comes to being forgiven of my sins and being made right with God I put my total faith in Christ. This Sunday we will study one of the most important chapter in the Bible, Romans chapter 3. I will focus on verses 21 -31. I encourage you to read and study this chapter ahead of time and we can compare notes. :-)

Come, let’s grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus together. Bring someone with you this Sunday.

A Love That Forgives All Our Sins

This Sunday we will study John 21 and talk about "A Love That Forgives All Our Sins." In this chapter Jesus reinstated Peter to His calling on his life. Through denying Christ three times perhaps Peter thought he could never serve Jesus as before. The Lord wanted Peter to know he was forgiven and restored.

I am so thankful that the Lord does the same for us today. Through His love and grace He forgives and restores us to be who He has called us to be.

Join with me in prayer for weekly Bible study groups and our weekend’s services.

Invite the friend that did or didn’t come with you on Easter. Let them know we are open each week. :-)

It is an honor to serve as your Pastor.
